Experienced Tutor with 28 Years of Expertise
. I have an English Degree and Liberal Arts Certificate from Simon Fraser University, my Teaching Certification from UBCO, along with a History minor, Certified Tutor (Douglas College), and worked for two years at the DC Learning Center. I was trained in Middle School Education and have taught in High School (Grade 10, 11, and 12 English and Composition, as well as Social Studies 10 and 11 and Geography 12). I have lots of experience with English Language Learners (ELL- the old term was ESL), and for the past couple of years have worked as an ELL teacher in a district at an Elementary School (Kindergarten to Grade 7). I am a Certified Technical Writer (SFU), a published writer (magazine articles and up and coming books), and have years of personal and professional writing experience.
With 28 years of dedicated experience in education, I bring a wealth of knowledge, skill, and passion to my tutoring practice. Over the years, I have honed my ability to work with students of all ages and academic levels, creating personalized learning experiences that cater to individual needs. Online group sessions are held via Zoom. Please sign up with zoom and The Tutor Queen will send a Zoom code before the start of the online group session.
Online group sessions are approximately one hour.
Online group sessions are offered twice weekly for 8 weeks for $1,000.00.
